Beach with Friends

We were invited by some sweet friends of ours to come visit their beach rental this week. We had never been to this local beach, although I had heard that it was beautiful. And let me tell you - it was! White sand, amazing blue ocean, very limited people, and a day of gorgeous weather to boot!

This is the boardwalk behind their house that leads directly to the beach.

The kids practically ran all the way down the boardwalk they were so excited!

Of course little Parker tried his best to keep up with the big kids.

We spent hours playing in the ocean, making sandcastles, searching for coquinas and relaxing with friends.

 We only left the beach for about an hour to break for an incredible lunch back at the house. The kids filled up on delicious homemade shrimp pasta salad, black bean & avocado dip, homemade hummus, fresh fruit and the most incredible little sesame seed ham & cheese baked sandwiches. YUM-O! These girls know how to host a lunch at the beach, let me tell ya.

Once everyone had eaten and the sunscreen was reapplied, we headed back out into the sunshine.

It was the perfect Florida beach day.
