I adore Saturday mornings for so many reasons...
I get to sleep in a little bit later than normal (7 a.m. instead of 6:30).
There are no lunches to pack. No kids to get dressed for school. No schedules to stick to.
It's relaxed.
And once in a while, I really strike it rich.
Sometimes, Brian makes breakfast!
Granted, it may not be the most healthy breakfast, but if I'm not cooking... it could be bacon and sausage and I'd be happy.
Fortunately for me, Brian made these on Saturday morning:
Have you had these? Oh my goodness - heaven in a canister!
You know the pancakes are gonna be good when the recipe calls for 1/2 a stick of butter!
(Thanks Rachel for this mix - what a delish gift it was!)
Of course now that I have my little "fruit lover" (Parker) I also made a yummy fruit salad to go with the pancakes.
It could have used some strawberries but Parker ate them all, so I made due without them.
Then after little man took his morning nap, Payton decided he would wake him up his own special way...
He got in the crib with him!
Parker was confused at first, but then loved it.
Gotta love a relaxed Saturday morning with the fam!

Austin still sleeps in a crib and Carter likes to climb in with him, too. Sometimes Austin even asks for Carter when he wakes up. I love all the giggling when they're in there together...and I like knowing exactly where they are!
